Squats to Scroll ("we," "our," or "the app") is operated by Tully O'Leary, based in Minnesota, United States. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Camera Usage

The app uses your device camera solely for on-device pose detection to count squat repetitions. Camera processing is performed entirely on your device using machine learning models (ML Kit Pose Detection). Specifically:

• Camera frames are processed in real-time on your device
• Frames are immediately discarded after pose analysis
• No images, video, or pose data are stored, uploaded, or transmitted
• Camera data never leaves your device
• Only the final rep count is retained

2. Screen Time API

The app uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to help you manage your screen time. This data is handled entirely by iOS:

• App selection tokens are opaque — we cannot see which specific apps you have selected to block
• Screen time data is managed by iOS and is not accessible to us
• We store only your configured squat requirements per blocked app category
• We do not use Screen Time data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than providing app blocking functionality

3. Exercise Data

The app tracks your squat activity to provide features like streak tracking, daily counts, and walk equivalence calculations:

• Squat counts, streaks, and session history are stored locally on your device
• If you create an account, basic exercise summaries (daily squat count, streak length) may sync to our servers to enable cross-device access
• We do not sell or share your exercise data with third parties

4. Account Data

Creating an account is optional. The app works fully without one. If you create an account, we collect:

• Email address (for account recovery and communication)
• Authentication tokens from your sign-in provider (Apple, Google)

We do not collect your name, phone number, or physical address.

5. Subscription Data

Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status:

• We receive subscription status (active, expired, trial) and purchase dates
• We do not receive or store your payment information — Apple handles all payment processing

6. Analytics

We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve the app:

• Which screen stoppers are most popular
• General feature usage patterns
• Crash reports

This data is not linked to your identity. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs. We do not serve ads. We do not build advertising profiles.

7. Tracking

We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not share data with data brokers. We do not use device identifiers for advertising purposes. When Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt appears, we do not request tracking permission.

8. Children's Privacy

Squats to Scroll is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• RevenueCat — subscription management (subscription status only)
• Apple — App Store transactions, HealthKit (if you opt in), Screen Time APIs

We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or social media platforms.

10. Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you may:

• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your exercise data
• Opt out of analytics
• Revoke camera access at any time via iOS Settings
• Remove app blocking at any time via iOS Screen Time settings

For California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

For EU/EEA residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing data is your consent (camera access, account creation) and legitimate interest (app functionality). You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

11. Data Retention

Local data is deleted when you uninstall the app. Account data is retained until you request deletion. We will delete your data within 30 days of a deletion request.

12. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. The "Effective Date" at the top will be updated accordingly.
